From Tromsø: Snowmobile tour with Aurora crystal lavvo Overnight stay

Welcome to Aurora Wonderland Basecamp. Located in beautiful Lyngen, our base camp is surrounded by breathtaking fjords, mountains, and islands. With a good distance from the city, you'll find minimal artificial light pollution, providing optimal conditions. Step into our crystal Lavvo for a unique adventure. Imagine gazing at the night sky through the glass ceiling while cozying up to a fireplace. With clear skies and pristine surroundings, your odds of seeing this natural wonder are truly exceptional.

The adventure starts when we pick you up in the city center of Tromsø. Then, we'll take you on a panoramic drive to Aurora Wonderland Basecamp. This scenic route includes a short ferry ride and stunning views of the Lyngen Alps.

Upon arrival at the base camp, you'll receive an expedition meal. Then, we will gear up with snowmobiling equipment, including suits, boots, and helmets. Our experienced guide will then give you safety instructions and show you how to operate the snowmobile. Enjoy the ride as your guide leads you through the diverse terrain of Lyngen. 

In the evening, after a nice dinner, we'll provide a summary of the northern lights forecast and assist with camera settings so you can capture stunning photos during the night. 

After this, your Lavvo will be warm, cozy, and ready for you. When you have settled into your Lavvo, you can keep an eye on the sky through the Lavvo's glass ceiling or wander around the base camp to see if the northern lights are dancing above.

The following day, we serve a traditional Norwegian breakfast before we start the drive back to Tromsø, arriving at 11 a.m.

• To operate a snowmobile, you must be in fair physical shape, 16 years old, and have a valid car driver's license.
• You must show the car driver's license to the guide, so remember to bring it!
• Snowmobiles are driven in pairs with one driver and one passenger per snowmobile (even if you book as one person). You will have plenty of opportunities to switch places during the adventure
• All participants must follow the rules discussed in the safety briefing. Participants who endanger themselves or others in any way will be excluded from the tour without the possibility of a refund.
• The snowmobiles are insured with a liability of up to 980 EUR. That means the driver will have to pay up to 980 EUR on the spot to cover damages caused by the driver. Following the rules set by the tour guides will greatly reduce the risk of damage.
• We may cancel this trip at any time for weather or safety reasons. In this case, a full refund will be provided.

Everything crystal lavvo

• We have 6 Lavvos with accommodations for up to 4 people in each.
• Minimum 2 persons in each lavvo.
• We never mix guests who don’t know each other in our Lavvos.
• Please note that this is an adventure where you have to add wood to your wood oven yourself.
• There is a shared bathroom/toilet inside the villa and one outside toilet for those who want to try this authentic experience.
• The bathroom/toilet in the villa is open 24 hours.
• Note that this is not a driving northern light chase; the whole experience will occur at the base camp.
• Pick-up time from Tromsø and arrival time back to Tromsø can be subject to change. Therefore, please plan for some extra time between your activities or travels.
• This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a full refund or a different date if possible
• There will be no refunds if you are not at the pick-up location at the agreed time.
